The Dallas Companion Animal Project premiered a brand new video this past weekend at the Real Men Care & Real Women Count event. Produced and directed by DCAP volunteer Donna Bellamy, and narrated by well-known local meteorologist and animal welfare advocate Rebecca Miller, the video give unique insight into the work DCAP and their partners are doing in the community.
In response to the outpouring of support from around the world for Bentley, Ebola patient Nina Pham’s dog, the City of Dallas has partnered with Dallas Companion Animal Project to establish a fund. The donations will help Bentley and other pets in similar emergency situations in the future.
The Dallas Pet Emergency Transition Services (PETS) fund will help defray costs associated with pets displaced or affected by emergency events, such as natural disasters or possible future Ebola cases.

Dallas Companion Animal Project is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to strengthening the connection between people and animals.
More than thirty North Texas animal shelters participating in Empty The Shelter Day this past Saturday, August 16th. The final numbers are in and 2,256 dogs and cats found new homes that day as part of the promotion.
Thirty nine DCAP volunteers played a critical role, helping find homes for 149 pets at Dallas Animal Services & Adoption Center.
