FRIENDS OF DAS

Dallas Companion Animal Project is proud to partner with the City of Dallas and to serve as an assistance and support group for Dallas Animal Services.

How?

1. DCAP has set up a two dedicated funds to receive donations for Dallas Animal Services.

The Dallas Animal Services Fund  is maintained to provide for Dallas Animal Services’ needs over and above what is included in the City budget. Examples of past gifts from this fund include shade canopies for the outdoor exercise areas, toys and rawhides, staff training, extra medical care, enrichment items, bedding, promotional products, and much more. To make a donation to the DAS fund, visit our online donation page and look for “Dallas Animal Services Fund.”

The Dallas PETS (Pet Emergency Transition Services) Fund, was set up in response to the outpouring of support from around the world for Bentley, Ebola patient Nina Pham’s dog.  The City of Dallas has partnered with Dallas Companion Animal Project to establish this fund. The donations will help Bentley and other pets in similar emergency situations in the future.  The Dallas Pet Emergency Transition Services (PETS) fund will help defray costs associated with pets displaced or affected by emergency events, such as natural disasters or possible future Ebola cases.

Dallas Companion Animal Project is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to strengthening the connection between people and animals.
